Fat Will (Eventually) Surrender If You Don’t Give Up

No matter how many times you have joined a gym and stopped after the first month. It doesn’t matter how many times you start a diet that only lasted a few weeks. No matter how many things you have tried, this time can be the time fat finally surrenders. The Trade Off Think about what we let get in our way of success. It’s often just a little short-term comfort or something we can taste for only a few minutes. Are we really going to let food, and whatever other excuse we may have, have that much power over us? Is a few minutes of tasting a donut worth an entire day of better health? Food is great, but we shouldn’t be enslaved to it. We all have limitations, but we shouldn’t let the hold us back from doing something. We all have excuses (even legitimate ones), but we don’t have to use them. Power in Perseverance Make this year the year you get serious and you persevere past the point you normally quit or slack off. Let this be the year you quit allowing your flesh to beat you. Take authority over your body! Take God’s lead, when He says “deny your flesh”. He knows how much trouble we get in when we let the flesh have everything it wants. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6 I’m praying this is the year you reach your goals and are able to encourage others to do the same. Fat will surrender to you as long as you don’t give up. Find Your Why Back when Steve and Tasha did Fit to Fat to Fit, they both struggled just like anyone else. Tasha didn’t need a trainer. She needed someone to believe in her and to simply hold her accountable. And, in many ways, she helped Steve just as much by doing it with him. You don’t necessarily need a trainer or coach. You can have that accountability and support you need in a workout partner or even an online buddy. I know I need that. Yet, so many people do it without anyone or anything to help them. For Tasha, one of her #1 motivators was her mom. While her mom is no longer with her, she wanted to make her mom proud and she used that to push her through the tough times. Your motivation can be your kids, your spouse, your health or just taking good care of the gift of life God gave you out of gratitude. Scripture of the Day: For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6 Mantra of the Day: Fat will surrender. My flesh will not rule me. Food will not control me. Laziness will not have its way with me. Fear and doubt will not hold me back. My body will submit and my fat will surrender. It has won before, but not this time. – Bonnie Pfiester 30 Days of Motivation
